The Three Theologians: A Conversation About Preben Kok’s Book “Skæld ud på Gud”

The pastors will read selected passages from the book “Skæld ud på Gud” by Preben Kok and share brief reflections on faith, grief, and God.

During Esbjerg Festival, we invite you to enjoy breakfast and a theological discussion at Gjesing Church.

The Three Theologians:

  • Kristian Mejrup, Ph.D. & parish priest at Thomas Kingo’s Church in Odense
  • Simon Jylov, parish priest at Løgumkloster Church
  • Line Søgaard Christensen, Ph.D. & parish priest at Gjesing Church

The priests will read selected passages from Preben Kok’s book “Skæld ud på Gud” (Yell at God) and share brief reflections on faith, grief, and God.

The book’s official description includes:
"With faith as a foundation, Preben Kok tackles relationships, guilt, helplessness, stress, and the illusion of the perfect human being. He offers people in crisis the chance to share responsibility and sorrow with God when life hurts, and meaning disappears."

Together, we will discuss these themes while enjoying coffee, rolls, pastries, and a few songs from the Danish Folk High School Songbook.
