Esbjerg Festspil 2025 - Svend, Knud, and Valdemar
Skarntyden presents a delightful farce about a theatrical production where everything goes wrong. In an attempt to stage a play about the Battle of Grathe Heath, chaos ensues—not least because the actors have a series of internal disputes that are impossible to hide on stage.

About the play:
This is a play about a theatrical production where everything goes spectacularly wrong. Adelaide Piper has written a drama about the Battle of Grathe Heath, titled Svend, Knud, and Valdemar.
Conveniently, she happens to be married to the director of Det Piperske Teaterselskab. This year's festspil takes you to the premiere of Adelaide Piper’s play—a premiere that will certainly not be forgotten anytime soon.
