Community Day for Young People

Come experience lots of cool activities, discover new communities, and make new friends!

You’ll meet some of the city’s youth organizations, communities, and leisure clubs.

Get an overview of youth activities in the city and discover the possibilities for an active leisure life, taking part in something fun and exciting.

You might even find a place where you'd like to volunteer, organizing fun activities for others. Additionally, you’ll meet groups offering various kinds of help and support—ready to listen if you need advice, or where you can meet others in similar situations.

Most importantly, it’s a day focused on celebration and community. We'll gather for fun activities like creating a large street-art piece together with Spyt & Sprøjt. You can make your own stencil or spray paint freely. Crafty Club will hold their jewelry-making workshop, where you can create your own earrings. Folkekirkens Hus will create fantasy crafts and geek out ahead of the Fantasy Festival. You can also meet HUSRUM, who welcome young people experiencing loneliness into their community.

Practical information:

• Most activities take place outdoors, so please bring suitable clothing.

• Toilets are available.

• You can participate the whole day or just join selected activities.

• Everything is free of charge.

We'd love to hear from those interested in helping plan Community Day or just joining with a stand or activity on the day itself. You are the ones who bring Community Day to life.

Volunteer at Community Day?

On the day, we’ll need extra hands for practical tasks such as fetching equipment and materials, providing drinks for organizations, and motivating guests to participate in activities.

If this sounds like something for you, please send an email to coordinator Maja Theresia Jensen at maja@vindrosen-huset.dk, including your preferred volunteer times and tasks you'd like to help with. You’ll get a quick response, and together we’ll arrange details.

Everyone can volunteer, and as a thank-you, you'll receive food and drinks on the day. Who knows—maybe you’ll find a new community to join after Community Day.
