Esbjerg Festival Ready for Kickoff: Nearly 200 Events and One Huge Celebration Await!

This year’s festival features almost 200 events spread over nine exciting days, inviting both residents and visitors to explore music, food, theater, circus performances, children's activities, and much more.

A festival for everyone

Whether you enjoy big concerts, kids’ cycling races, street performers, or communal long-table dinners emphasizing sustainability and reuse, there’s something for everyone—across all age groups.

“Esbjerg Festival is truly special. It’s nine days packed with experiences for everyone. This is when we really get to show each other and the world what Esbjerg has to offer culturally. We look forward to celebrating with the whole city and all the guests that the festival brings to Esbjerg,” says Kirsten Bisgaard Kirchner, Event Manager at Esbjerg Municipality.

Stars, circus, and community

Torvet will become the heart of major musical events with 18 free concerts—including performances by Leslie, Malte Ebert, Jacob Dinesen, Aura Dione, Michael Falch, and Blæst, as well as a special tribute to the late Johnny Madsen featuring local artists.

In I.C. Møllerparken, there will be circus performances for the whole family by Circus Krone, while Heerups Have will offer tranquility and creativity through workshops, yoga, and storytelling sessions inside the tipi.

New this year is Business Battle Esbjerg, where local companies compete in giant foosball matches at Torvet, and the Blæstival children’s festival at Dokken City Beach, offering sensory play and creativity inspired by the sea.
