The famous ship *Pascual Flores* was built in 1917 by Antonio Marí, known as “the storm of Torrevieja.”

To honour the memory of the city’s flourishing maritime past, the Torrevieja City Council purchased *Pascual Flores* in 1999, after finding her in very poor condition in the harbour of Milford Haven. The goal was to restore her and turn her into a symbol of Torrevieja’s seafaring heritage and the city’s flagship.

The schooner *Pascual Flores* is an original vessel, quite different from the boats that sail our waters today. Thanks to an agreement between the Torrevieja City Council and the Nao Victoria Foundation, the ship will call at ports around the world and take part in major European maritime festivals.
