# Slesvigske Musikkorps (SMUK)

The Danish summer is, as we know, showers that come and go, but if anything can blow the grey weather away, it’s when the Armed Forces’ Musical Ambassadors fire up their brass instruments.

That is exactly what the audience will have plenty of opportunity to experience on 18 June, when SMUK, as part of the festival week, gives a one‑hour concert in Byparken. The concert is completely free and will be packed with music that spreads good vibes.

Slesvigske Musikkorps, known in everyday speech as SMUK, is one of the Armed Forces’ three full‑time professional military bands and consists of 16 musicians - brass players and percussionists.

We look forward to meeting the festival audience in Byparken and giving them a truly great experience during Esbjerg Festuge.

The concert begins at 04:00 PM, and it is SMUK’s own conductor, Stig Mærsk, who will be leading the festivities.
