# Opera at Torvet

At Torvet, Den Ny Opera and Esbjerg Ensemble unleash music, song and southern passion into the bright summer air.

It’s Festuge and the sun is shining. A wonderful and proud tradition returns. The classical highlight of Esbjerg Festuge. It’s Opera på Torvet!

Composers such as Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and Bernstein provide the music, the singers Frederikke Kampmann, Julie Husballe Hansen, Anders Kampmann and Jens Søndergaard bring it to life, Jakob Næslund Madsen hosts the event, operatic director Lars Ole Mathiasen conducts an expanded Esbjerg Ensemble, and the weather gods have summoned all available forces. So grab your blanket, cheese and bottle of red wine and hurry to the square, because if we know the people of Esbjerg, seats will fill up fast.
