# Open Water Esbjerg

Swim 1, 2, 3 or 4 laps around the harbour island at the Maritime Centre – this event is the West Coast’s answer to Christiansborg Rundt. You won’t find a bigger open water event on the West Coast.

Where in Denmark can you swim around a harbour island in a recreational harbour basin?

We at Multiatleterne are pleased to invite you to the only open water event on Denmark’s West Coast: **Open Water Esbjerg**. Here, you get the unique opportunity to legally swim around the harbour island 1, 2, 3 or 4 times. You have a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete your swim. This is the fourth time we’re hosting the event – come and be part of the success.

In 2026, the event is part of the Esbjerg Festival. There will be plenty of activities in the city throughout the weekend, including exhibitions and live music on Friday evening and Saturday. Once the full programme is available, we will update this page with a link to the Festival programme.

**When**
 Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM (always the second Saturday of June)

**Where**
 Maritime Centre, Esbjerg Strand 10, 6700 Esbjerg

**Distances and route**
 One lap is 1,250 metres, and you can choose between 1, 2, 3 or 4 laps.
