When Johnny Madsen was honoured with the Rock Academy’s special award in 2024, his son Rasmus Madsen took the stage alongside Johnny’s long-time guitarist Knud Møller to perform the great songs. It was clear to everyone: the music lives on.

Now the legacy comes to Esbjerg Festival. Rasmus Madsen has assembled a strong team of musicians with close ties to both him and Johnny – and together they breathe new life into the songs that have left a lasting mark on Danish rock.
